You might have noticed that I recently added a "Follow" button for Twitter on my blog (top right of the page, go have a look). I resisted Twitter for a long time, but finally caved when I realized how efficient it can be for
creeping celebrities communicating with people and advertising yourself (blog, website, links, etc.). I'll admit that I have no idea what I'm doing yet, but am slowly figuring it out. I even managed to post this same photo of Pinch there yesterday! I will encourage -- but not beg -- you to follow me. If anything, I've got a cute username (and all reasonable variants of my full name were already being used). You, and by "you" I mean those not on my Facebook, might want to check out my first Tweet (should that be capitalized?) for a fun surprise. I've been taken on as a freelance pet writer over at
Dogster.com and its sister site,
Catster.com! My
first article is currently running on Dogster (see Tweet!), and I've got more in the queue. This is contract work, and I'm paid per article, so I'll still have to look for a job in France. But while I'm unemployed (and looking!), I've got all the time in the world to write and get my articles out there. And it's just awesome to be able to combine my 2 passions -- writing & my pets!
Hopefully I have my author bio up on Dogster by this coming Wednesday, when my 2nd article runs as the feature story for that day. And while some of you long-time readers of this blog might recognize my first story as a (much) reworked blog post from a couple of years ago, my second article is all new material.
I'll be linking all my articles on my blog, but also on Twitter, so make sure to check them out!

Congrats lady! That's awesome!
I followed you on Twitter, but I'm never on Twitter. (I'm beginning to think I might be a loner.)
Congrats on landing the freelance gigs! I'm trying to do the same thing as you actually. I'm curious about Twitter and I must admit, I know even less about it than you. I don't think I even know anybody who is on Twitter! I'm interested in knowing more about how the advertising aspect of it works.
Congrats on the freelance opportunities...that's great!
I've never used Twitter and I know nothing about it, but I'm curious to see how it works out for you.
Yeah... So glad you are finally on twitter. And awesome news about the freelance job
Congratulations! That's so exciting about the articles! I followed you on twitter :) I'm excited you joined. twitter is fun!
Congrats on your new writing opportunity! And welcome to twitter! :)
I'm coming out of the woodwork (I read but never comment on blogs these days!) to say congrats, lady!!!! Just read your article and it made me laugh aloud. Humongous hematoma?! Your writing is awesome. Please keep linking and I'll keep reading!! x
Thanks, everyone :) Twitter is pretty neat, but I have to be careful not to let it become a time suck! I'm still figuring it out, but I like it enough that I plan on sticking around.
(Oneika - hey girl! Glad you liked my article. I'm really bad at commenting on others' blogs, too. I read pretty much everyone's blog who comments/visits mine, but sometimes I get a bit lazy in leaving a comment on recent posts!)
so glad you've got some writing contracts! I know it's been a dream for you. I'm still resisting the call of the Tweet. Seems my time is already sucked up by FB and my smartphone.
Pinch is very cute! Hope you like twitter :)
Oh I just thought of one very important twitter safety tip everybody should know.
If you see a mention with just a link don't click it. It's an attempt to hack you twitter account.

Congrats on the free-lancing!
